AMOSS started as a spiritual organ aimed towards creating awareness amongst the acolytes serving in the altar on faith, tradition and practices through Holy Qurbana, sacraments, and other important days observed within the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. Their primary objective is to assist the clergy by maintaining uniformity in the worship of the church and serving systematically. The organization carves out paths meant to train and provide instructions to the acolytes so that they are able to preserve the meaning and value of orthodox worship in their sacramental service to the holy church.
‘AMOSS Ghaziabad’ has provided selfless service to the worship and spiritual activities of the parish throughout these years. The members of the unit have actively participated in periodical training programmes and annual conferences conducted at both the unit and diocesan levels. The discipline and ministration they practice have been commended by several members of the clergy and bishops who pay a visit to the parish at any point in time. This has been made possible under the able guidance of the Vicars and Assistant Vicars from time to time and Chief Altar Servant of the church Mr Thomas P.V. who has ensured the conduct of services and worship in the church, without any alteration.
